Consumer Credit Card Debt is an often touted subject in the news today.

Pundits on both sides of the political table use statistics to prove that either 1) Americans are drowning in a sea of credit card debt or 2) Americans are handling their credit cards just fine. Who is right? It’s not true, however, that consumercredit card debt relief services are encouraging credit card abuse. On the contrary, any reputable consumer credit card debt counselor goes out of their way to show their clients just how easy it is to fall into the credit card trap and how to avoid it in the future. They are there to relieve debt, not increase it.
